  Grounding Conductors Importance

Grounding conductors are essential for current distributions, which require long product life and grounding-chemical resistance.  To support customers in creating ideal grounding systems, Kumwell produces circular conductors for grounding systems due to their superior durability (permanent product life) and aesthetic (shape adjustability). The conductors complied with IEC 62561-2 standard and can choose materials to match the environment requirements. For example, tinned copper is durable to humid and saline; therefore, it is suitable in seashore areas. Kumwell grounding conductors are available in multiple materials, suiting for different projects, are listed below.

  Bare Copper

Made from BS EN 13601 copper, bare copper passes IEC 62561-2 standard. It is suited for grounding systems and lightning protection systems.

  Tinned Copper

Made from BS EN 13601 copper and coated with tin (durability enhancing), tinned copper passes IEC 62561-2 standard. It is suited for humid or saline areas, such as seashores.

  Stainless Steel

Made from 316L stainless (all-superlative chemical resistance), stainless steel is a low carbon type making it unites stronger when exothermic welding. Also, it passes IEC 62561-2 standard. It is suited for high corrosive soils, especially acid soils (pH < 6).

  Copper-Bonded Steel

Made from a bonding between low resistivity steel and electrolytic copper, copper-bonded steel has 254 copper thickness and passes IEC 62561-2 test. It is suited for grounding and lightning protection systems in neutral grounds (pH 6-8).

  Annealed Copper-Clad Steel Wire (CCS)

Made from a cladding between steel and copper, CCS is a grounding grid according to IEC 62305-3 and IEEE 80-2013 standards. It also passes ASTM B910-B910M and IEC 62561-2 standard tests. It is suited for grounding systems and solutions for thefts prevention.
